We first booked through booking.com.On confirmation of the booking, we received a call from the hotel owner asking us to cancel the booking thru booking.com and to book directly thru the hotel, assuring us to give a better room with Mountain View at the same price. On reaching the hotel, we were shocked to know that there was no power since morning and the hotel is not equipped with a power backup... The hotel authorities seemed to be the least bothered....started getting darker and we felt the need to shift to another hotel and the search began.... Pls note it was peak season time for tourists and it almost all decent hotels have been booked... At last we shifted to another hotel at 12 midnight....we suffered a lot due to power failure... Plus the location of the hotel is not that great.... You need to take a taxi to MG Marg ,Deorali, Bajra and it would cost you anything between Rs. 150 to Rs. 200....difficult to get shared cab.... The staffs were cooperative as we understood they were helpless in the situation we faced..... If you book this hotel pls do get assurance on the power backup first.... It was hugely difficult for us....

Spent about a week in this and it was totally worthwhile. Rooms are excellent. Service was amaizing and the food is good too. Good place to stay with friends, you'll have all the enjoyment you need. I honestly enjoyed way lot than i expected i would. Go for the family room if you're six people, you'll enjoy your nights to the fullest, with the flavours of the hookah and the cold sikkimese breeze at the terrace that's attached to the room.

Staying at Hotel Dilchen was totally worth it. The staff was cooperative and helpful. The food was delicious with varied menu. The rooms were clean with all the amenities. Over all it was a pleasant and satisfactory stay. Will definitely visit again.

Gangtok is a beautiful place and hotel dilchen gave me the best of everything. They have taken care of hygiene level in food, rooms, service. Delicious food is their USP. Clean property with brilliant views. I stayed in deluxe room and it was worth every penny. Staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. Owner of the hotel has done an amazing job with his hotel, I totally loved it. Will definitely visit again.

Pleasant stay at Hotel Dilchen Residency. Wonderful service , Right place to stay when in Gangtok. We Liked the location very much . It's a newer property and kept extremely clean . A varied and delicious menu, loved the food . No complains 😊, Thank you very much .
